About me

I turned my own financial wounds into a ministry of healing. Now I walk with others as they do the same.

I'm Tyana Larise—a faith-filled financial healing strategist, speaker, therapist, and writer with a heart for helping women rewrite their money stories and walk in freedom. With over a decade of experience in social work, trauma healing, and program leadership, I blend practical tools with spiritual truth to support deep, lasting transformation. I believe financial healing is sacred, and I’m honored to be part of God’s work in restoring what was lost. Whether you're here for therapy, a devotional, or a course, my goal is the same: to help you heal, prosper, and live free.

The Story Behind the Work

Career Background

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW), and Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) with over a decade of experience in direct service, program management, nonprofit leadership, and trauma-informed care. From mentoring former foster youth to training nonprofit professionals, my work has always centered around one thing: walking alongside others as they step into the lives they were created to live.

My Healing Journey

For years, I found myself performing, people-pleasing, and overworking, while quietly struggling with cycles of financial anxiety, scarcity, and shame. After a painful season of heartbreak, burnout, and unexpected job loss, I found myself completely undone. What I thought was a breakdown became the moment God began to rebuild me. Through prayer, surrender, therapy, and spiritual restoration, I started to see my money wounds not as weaknesses, but as invitations into deeper healing.

Founding Financial Healing Circles™

Financial Healing Circles were born from that season of surrender. I created them as sacred spaces for women to process their money stories without shame, reconnect with their worth, and rewrite narratives rooted in trauma and scarcity. These circles blend financial social work, narrative therapy, faith, and emotional healing. What started as a small workshop has grown into a movement of freedom, faith, and financial transformation.

Ministry Work

I serve as the Guest Hospitality Ministry Lead at my church, where I help others feel seen, welcomed, and equipped for their next step with God. My ministry isn’t limited to a building—through books, healing circles, and public speaking, I’m committed to making room for God to meet people where they are. I consider every client, reader, and audience member part of this Kingdom assignment.

  • My favorite way to unwind is listening to live music, journaling with worship in the background, or walking with my pup, Sunny D.

  • I’m currently in a season of joyful singleness, dating God, and loving the peace that comes from spiritual intimacy.

You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers.

What exactly is financial healing?

Financial healing is about more than money—it’s about restoring your relationship with yourself, your worth, and God’s provision. It’s the process of releasing shame, breaking cycles, and learning to manage money in a way that aligns with your values, faith, and purpose.

Are your books and courses a form of therapy?

Nope—my courses and books are created to inspire and empower, but they’re not therapy. They’re tools for reflection, growth, and transformation. If you're seeking therapeutic support, I do offer 1:1 financial therapy for clients in California through my licensed practice.

Do I have to be Christian to work with you or join a course?

Not at all! While my work is deeply rooted in faith, it’s also trauma-informed, inclusive, and compassionate. I work with people from all backgrounds—if you're open to reflection, healing, and growth, you're welcome here.

What kind of topics do you speak on?

I speak on financial trauma, emotional healing, faith-based financial wellness, money wounds, and helping professionals integrate healing into their work. Whether it’s a church, nonprofit, or professional conference, I customize each talk to meet the heart of the audience.

What’s the best way to start working with you?
